Term 1 Week 6 and 7 (Lesson 8 & 9)

Lesson 8 (08-02-2010)
Today Mr Chua gave us some additional notes for Merchant of Vernice. It is about why Shylock wanted to cut 1 pound of flesh from Antonio. It all because of racist. Shylock hate Antonio. As well as Antonio hate Shylock. Shylock hates Antonio because Antonio is a christian, Antonio always criticise his religion, and called him as a dog. Then Mr Chua asked us what we think about Shylock. Is he a villain or hero? Most of us think that he is a villain as he look merciless, as he insist of cutting one pound of Antonio flesh instead of getting the money. In my opinion, I think that no one can force people to like your religion. No one can have the right to kill the ones that don't like the religion that you are. We isn't the god nor anyone of them.

Lesson 9 (19-02-2010)
Today Mr Chua tells us the topic we are tested in exam. Then he asked us to take out the worksheet that he gave us last lesson which i haven finish. Half way on going through, Mr Chua asked us to pass up. When I was about to keep away my paper and wanted to pass up on the next day, Mr Chua came and took away the stack of worksheet which they pass in front and the worksheet of mine. As a result, i handed in a incomplete work. After that, Mr Chua continue with the racist problem between Shylock and Antonio. This time, he gave us an article one of the racist apology. To me, no one can insult anyone religion. No matter how dislike the religion, there isn't a right for anyone to insult the religion. Just like you insult a friend you hate. If you the one being insulted, what would you feel. If I'm the one, I would feel hurt. Athough, I would feel hurt, but I wouldn't do anything, because one day the person will also feel how is the feeling being insult if he/she being insulted by other. Got a chinese phrase say : 恶有恶报，只是时辰未到。
