Lesson 7 (01-o2-2010)

Today we get punish by Mr Chua because of some of our classmates went out of the class and peep and check whether Mr Chua coming. As a result, we got punish by Mr Chua as we was warned not to go out of the class went there are no permission by any teacher. We were asked to go under the hot sun, as well as Mr Chua. Mr Chua then taught us 'What is Friendship?' 'How is a true friend behave or look like?' He ask some people up to tell us about friendship. After that, he continue on the story 'The Merchant of Venice'. This time we focus on one of the dialogue that Antonio say to Bassanio. Antonio was a role model of a friend look like. He was willing to scarified his life because Bassanio. This a very important point of a friendship should look like i think. This is because if you have a friend that flee when you have troubles, or push the responsible to you even he/she was involve, the friend wouldn't be a true friend. This kind friend is just using you to be scapegoat when he/she is in trouble. Beside Antonio is willing to sacarified his life in the sake of Bassanio, Antonio also never blame the fault on Bassanio, even though he had came to death for Bassanio. This is also a point for us to learn about as we shouldn't blame all the fault to others without looking at ourselves. Not only that, Antonio also asked Bassanio not to grieve because of that. This is important because, if your friend in true, they would not want his/her friend to be sad or guilty about something for temporarily or even for the rest of the life. To me, I think friendship are forever. When friend done something wrong, we should forgive and forget, by not being petty, and being cold to the person. However, we cannot just make friend with only the people that have the same racial with us, we should be racial harmony. In Singapore, there have a international friendship day, and this remind us of our friends around us, and commemorate it with them.
